On March 16，2010, the communication meeting on "12th Five-Year" Sci-technology research plan between Faculty of Information Technology and Faculty of Agriculture Life and Environment Sciences was held in Hua Jiachi campus. Chen Kun-Song, Executive Vice-President of The Sci-Tech Academy of ZJU, Liu Xu, the Director of Faculty of Information Technology and Zhang Guoping, the Director of Faculty of Agriculture Life and Environment Sciences, and nearly 40 professors attended the meeting.
At the forum, professors introduced their research areas briefly and put forward their own research needs for information technology in the disaster warning, biological environment detection, food processing and security monitoring, etc. this meeting laid a solid foundation for cooperation and discussion in-depth
