During the October 12 to 14, the ISCIT 2011, supported by the IEEE Circuits and Systems Society and co-hosted by the Department of Information Science and Electronic Engineering and the College of Computer Science and Technology, was held successfully in the Hangzhou JinXi resort hotel.
The ISCIT is an important international academic meeting for the Pacific Rim including many colleges and research institutes of Asian. The ISCIT has been held 10 times and got wide recognition of the international academic community. The IEEE Circuits and Systems Society is one of the most important profession societies. It was founded in the last century 50's.
The subject of ISCIT 2011 is “the future-orientation green and cognitive communication”. The meeting had totally received 232 domestic and overseas papers. Through the review of the TPC Member, 105 papers were covered. The Huawei French institute held a Plenary Industrial Forum and the Hokkaido University held a Special Session in order to discuss the trend and problems in the future information technology development.
The ISCIT 2011was held by the General Co-chairs, Prof. Hu Zhaohui the vice present of Zhejiang University and Prof. David Grace of University of York. In the opening ceremony of the meeting, the vice present of the Stevens Institute of Technology Prof. Joseph Mitola and vice-chairman of the IEEE Society Prof. Tariq Durrani gave the keynote speech under the title of “Global Collaboration for Innovative Cognitive Systems” and “Going Green and Global for a Golden Future” respectively. The discussion between the speakers and attendants made the conferee be interested in the cognitive communication and green communication technology in the future.
