On October 22, 2011, the Tenth Anniversary of National Pilot Schools of Software was held in Beijing National Conference Centre. There were more than 1500 representatives of teachers, students and guests from 37 National Pilot Schools of Software attended this conference. The College of Software Technology of Zhejiang University won five prizes including one collective prize and four personal prizes.
This anniversary aims at reviewing the development of the National Pilot Schools of Software and commending the organizations & people that did a great contribution in the past ten years. So the National Pilot Schools of Software will enable more students in major of software to adapt to the market demand for promoting the economy development and education reform.
In order to train more high quality software talents, since 2001, 37 universities, including Zhejiang University, Tsinghua University and Peking University, have been allowed to build the Pilot Schools of Software. In the past ten years, the Pilot Schools of Software have trained many high quality software talents and have done a great contribution to the development of national software industry.The prizes are the greatest inspirations to the College of Software Technology of Zhejiang University.
