On Feb.22, 2012, the delegation from Faculty of Engineering(FE), Uiversity of Bristol(UOB), leading by Professor Nishan Canagarajah, the dean of Faculty of Engineering, visited Faculty of Information Technology(FIT), Zhejiang University(ZJU). The Agreement Signing Ceremony was also held successfully. Professor Yang Dongxiao, the Associate Director of Department of Information Science & Electronic Engineering (ISEE), ZJU, presided at the meeting. Professor Rong Gang, Vice Dean of FIT, ZJU, Hu Zhengming, Head of Office for African, Asian & European Affairs, Zhang Liping, the Deputy Director General of Department of Teaching and Training, Graduate School of ZJU, Jin Xiaofeng, Xu Guoliang and Lou Jianyue from ISEE, Wang Jueren from FIT, and so on, attended the ceremony.
Firstly, Professor Yang Dongxiao welcome Professor Nishan Canagarajah to come beautiful Hangzhou and Zhejiang University on behalf of the host. Then, Professor Rong Gang introduced the status of FIT from the faculty, teaching, research and international exchange. Professor Nishan Canagarajah presented the Faculty of Engineering. Hu Zhengming, On behalf of the International Relations of ZJU, congratulated the FE of UOB and FIT of ZJU for the agreement. He hoped to carry out more extensive cooperation and exchanges at the school level in the near future. After sufficient communication and discussion, professor Nishan Canagarajah and Professor Rong Gang signed the agreement on behalf of the two Faculty.
The exchange activities were initiated by Department of Information Science & Electronic Engineering, ZJU. With the efforts of Professor Jin Xiaofeng, Professor Xu Wen, Associate Director of ISEE, communicated and consulted the protocol framework and the content of cooperation with Faculty of Engineering, UOB, in the early. They paid a lot of work and hard labor for the agreement signing successfully.
