At the beginning of New Year, the FIT held the plenary meeting of all special committees. Professor Rong Gang, Vice Dean of FIT, hosted the meeting. Liu Xu, Dean of FIT, did the annual report. All members of FIT HR Committee, Academic Committee, Academic Degrees Committee and Education Committee attended the meeting.
Liu Xu gave an account of the work and achievement of FIT in last year and analyzed the problems and insufficience, even the reasons. At last, he came up with the working mentality for 2012.
During 2011, FIT got a lot of achievements in different working areas. The colleges & departments of FIT had a great progress in Talent Team, Discipline Development, Personnel Training, Scientific Research, and so on. And the FIT tried its best to create a good academia for the growth of young teachers. Also the faculty did well in the teacher advanced level assessment, the development of the Chinese & English website, student admission, graduate student graduation ceremony, etc. All the work got good reputation from students and teachers.
The 2012 is the “assessment” year. We need to prepare well for the national assessment of the State Key Labs and primary disciplines. Experts gave advises for further development of FIT during 2012.
