On the afternoon of March 1, the delegation fromWaseda University, leading by Hirasawai, the dean of College of IPS, visited Faculty of Information Technology (FIT) and introduced the Postgraduate Study Abroad Project of IPS, Waseda University. Prof. Rong Gang, the Vice Director of FIT, met with the delegation at the Second Meeting Room of Administrative Building. Part of the undergraduates and postgraduates from FIT attended the meeting.
Firstly, Prof. Hirasawai expressed great thanks to Prof. Rong Gang and made the attending students welcome. Then Takeshi Fujisawa, the Project Supervisor of IPS,Waseda University, introduced the details of Postgraduate Study Abroad Project including the location, professors and their research orientation, alternative projects, scholarship, etc. Takeshi Fujisawa also communicated with the students who are interested in the project. Finally, Prof. Rong Gang discussed about the Joint Training Agreement renewal between FIT and IPS of Waseda University.
In the end, the delegation visited the Robot Lab and Biosensor Lab of the Dept. of Control Science and Engineering. In the Robot Lab, the researcher introduced the basic information of the Robot ”Wu” & ”Kong” and watched the videos about playing Ping Pong with man. In the Biosensor Lab, Associate Professor Zhang Wuming described the current research situation and development of biosensor in detail. Prof. Hirasawai expressed interest in these researches.
