On the afternoon of March 5, 2012, accompanied by the Vice President Chu Jian, Jin Deshui, the Chancellor of ZJU, came to Dept. of Control Science and Engineering for survey. Wu Hongying, the Vice Director of Party Committee Office and the Principal's Office, Feng Jianyue, Vice Director of Lab and Equipment Management Office, and members of leading group of Dept. of Control Science and Engineering also took part in it.
Firstly, Jin Deshui visited the state key lab of industrial control technology. During the visit, Jin Deshui was greatly interest in the research on the integration of informatization and industrialization, the development and utilization of new energy and biosensor, and discussed with the teachers deeply. He wished that there will be great breakthroughs in these aspects.
After the visit, Secretary Jin took part in a symposium. The attenders included the Director of Institute, the Vice Director, the Dean of Experiment Center, representatives of young and middle-aged teachers and office. In the symposium, Su Hongye, the Director of Dept. of Control Science and Engineering gave a report on basic information of the discipline development, education, scientific research, international exchange, culture development, research highlights and so on. Furthermore, he introduced the development plan and key research directions in the future in details. Secretary Jin paid more attention to the constitute of the talent team, research achievements of last years, and the future research directions and discussed with the teachers about the current research situation and future market demand of the robot, application development of new energy ,industrialization of research achievements, etc.
After the report,Secretary Jin honored the achievements of Dept. of Control Science and Engineering, encouraged the department to have great progress in discipline development, leading person and significant research areas during the coming 3-5 years.
