In order to promote the communications between the relevant disciplines, and strive to create a positive and harmonious environment for scientific research, Cyber Innovative Joint Research Center will organize 2014 annual series of mini symposium. On the afternoon of March 31st, 2014, chaired by Prof. Hujun Bao, 7 Professors and Scholars in the field of “sensing” attended the symposium titled "sensing technology and application” at Yifu Science building at Yuquan campus.
At the beginning, Professor Hujun Bao made a brief opening speech. He introduced the foundation and research directions of the Research Center. Next, 7 Professors and Scholars from 5 different departments gave excellent speeches related to elaborated theory of the sensor technology and application in optics, biomedicine, agriculture and computer fields, and let us clearly recognize the importance of the “sensing” technology to the basic theory and frontier of scientific research. In the interactive session, some students from different departments raised their interested questions and exchanged with each other.
This meeting not only synergistically promotes the development of the research in the "Cyber-Physical-Social space integrated perception" platform, but also stimulates the communications between the scholars in this interdisciplinary field from different departments, which will have positive impact on the long-term development of this subject.
