In the morning of April 23rd, 2014, "105th conference of Zhejiang University West Lake forum – research on network space security strategy" was held at Shao Yifu science building in Yuquan campus of Zhejiang University. The thematic forum is one of the series of seminars, held by Science and Technology Research Institute and Faculty of Information Technology of Zhejiang University, to promote the strategic planning of "1035" information field of China. The forum was hosted by Professor Hujun Bao, the vice director of Faculty of Information Technology. Professor Jiangxing Wu, a famous expert in computer and network communication technology and academician of China Academy of Engineering, Professor Zhaohui Wu, executive vice president of Zhejiang University, Professor Kunsong Chen, president of Science and Technology Research Institute, etc., attended the forum.
First, Prof. Zhaohui Wu, executive vice president of Zhejiang University, gave the opening speech. He said that, with the rapid development of the new economy form of global Internet, the security of network information brings unavoidable challenges to national security, social stability, economic development and our daily life, and national fighting strength; as an important internet application country, China is facing serious challenges! He also emphasized that that the related disciplines of Zhejiang University should pay more attention to the research on network information safety, and the relevant faculty members should draw up the strategic plan planning of Zhejiang University for the network information security in the future and make necessary arrangement to fit the requirements of the technology strategic planning of "1035" information field of China.
