On 23th October 2015, the high-level academic symposium of the Annual Conference series of ZJU was successfully held at Shao Yifu Science Building in Yuquan Campus. The theme of this symposium was "The new generation of artificial intelligence data, knowledge and service" , which was organized by Collaborative Innovation Center for industrial Cyber-Physical System and Zhejiang Province big data intelligent computing Key Laboratory. Many famous scholars, such as Professor Chen Changwen, from the University at Buffalo, the State University of New York, Professor Geng Zhi and Professor Huang Tiejun, from Peking University, Professor Zhu Wenwu, from Tsinghua University, Professor Yang Xiaokang, from Shanghai Jiao Tong University, and Professor Jin Rong, from Alibaba Group, were invited to bring excellent reports. The conference, chaired by Professor Zhuang Yueting, Dean of College of Computer Science and Technology, Professor Wu Fei, assistant director of the Institute of Artificial Intelligence, attracted the attendance of many young teachers and students.
These speakers presented 6 wonderful academic speeches from different research aspects, such as “Randomized Machine Learning Algorithms for Big Data”, etc. Especially “On Successful Research Career” presented by Pro. Chen Changwen made audiences benefit a lot.
FIT has successfully held two high-level academic symposiums and invited several famous scholars from domestic and abroad such as academician Chai Tianyou, academician P.R.Kumar, which helped build a high level academic exchange platform and create extensive academic influence.
During the conference, the ceremony for the 5th Young teacher award of FIT was held, and totally 10 excellent young teachers won the honor.
