On June 22nd– 24th, the 2017 China-America Frontiers of Engineering (CAFOE) symposium was held in Shanghai. Sixty of the most promising engineers under the age of 45 from China and the United States met for an intensive 2-1/2 day symposium on developments at the cutting edge of engineering technology in four areas: Intelligent Transportation, Electrochemical Energy Storage, Synthetic Biology, and Robots Everywhere.There are only 2 oral presentations and 5 poster presentations in each sub-forum of the conference.
Two outstanding young teachers from Faculty of Information Technology was selected to attend the symposium. Xu Chao, associate professor from the college of Control Science &Engineering was invited to deliver a plenary talk on Intelligent Robotic Locomotion: From Dynamic Walking to Autonomous Flight.XuYinke, associate professor from the college of Biomedical Engineering & Instrument Science was invited to give a poster presentation named《Synthetic Insulin Signaling using Optogenetics and Dissecting Adipocyte Insulin Action》.
