To deeply understand about the working of the young teachers, on January 13-14th 2014 Faculty of Information (FIT）organized a special briefing Symposium on the young teachers development . More than 40 young teachers attended it. We also invited 9 experienced professors to give them useful advice and guidance for their rapid growth on their research work.
Briefing has following three topics.
First, the principal of 2013 annual special cultivation project from Cyber Innovation Joint Research Center, Researcher Wei Xingchang and Associate professor Shen Guojiang gave the progress report respectively. The experts suggested that they should enhance the application and effectiveness of the research technology to better serve the human life.
Second, five young teachers from five different departments as the excellent project principal supported by 2012 Youth Innovation Fund gave us wonderful briefings. Based on the reports, the experts evaluate the achievement of performance of these projects seriously and gave many valuable suggestions.
Last but not least, 37 excellent young teachers from six departments summarized their research progress in the last five years, reported the achievement and academic influence. The experts carefully listened to these briefings, and pointed out their strengths and weaknesses. Meanwhile, according to the characteristics of each person, the experts gave them different suggestions in order to satisfy the basic standard of the NSF Outstanding Youth.
This Symposium, not only provided a harmonious academic exchange platform to the young teachers, but also gave them the warm feeling from the specialists and predecessors. We just believe it will be help for the development of our young teachers.
