Prof.Chen’s research team from CSE has published a paper titled Policy and Newly Confirmed Cases Universally Shape the Human Mobility during COVID-19 in the inaugural issue of National Science Open. The paper reveals the close coupling relationship among population mobility, policies, and pandemic statistics via analyzing multiple waves of COVID-19 in different cities. The novel conditional generative adversarial network framework proposed in this article can help accurately prediction human mobility and evaluate policy effectiveness, which provides a strong decision-making basis for the formulation of epidemic prevention policies and sheds light on human mobility studies particularly during major events.
