On October 20-21, 2023, the 2023 China Electromagnetic Compatibility and Electromagnetic Environmental Effect Technology and Industrial Innovation Conference was held at the New Century Grand Hotel in Hangzhou, with ZJU as the co-organizer.
Su Donglin, Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, presided over the opening ceremony and delivered a speech as chairman of the conference and vice chairman of the Chinese Optical Engineering Society。Prof. Li Erping from ZJU，Academician of the Singapore Academy of Engineering, made a keynote report of the conference. Prof. Fan Jun, Chairman of Ningbo Testo Technology, shared the industry development report. The conference gathered more than 400 experts and scholars in the field of electromagnetic and industry peers to communicate on the spot.
After the opening ceremony, the main forum of the conference and the Electromagnetic Science Forum 2023 were jointly coordinated. Prof. Chen Hongsheng, Executive Chairman of the Conference and Dean of the college of information science & electronic engineering of ZJU, served as the moderator of the main forum. The total number of on-site and online participants reached 5,000.
Five international scholars shared their cutting-edge views in the field of electromagnetism.Speakers at the forum were: Prof. Marin Soljačić from Department of Physics at MIT; Prof. Yahya Rahmat-Samii, Academician of the American Academy of Engineering from Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at UCLA; Prof. Costas Sarris from Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Toronto, and Prof. José E Schutt-Ainé from Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at UIUC. Prof. Yidong Chong. from Department of Physics at Nanyang Technological University,
In addition to the main forum, the conference has 12 thematic sessions, with more than 100 experts and scholars sharing cutting-edge views on electromagnetic safety. At the same time, the conference organized the Exhibition of Innovative Technology and Independent and Controllable Test Instruments and Equipment, and nearly 20 units participated in the exhibition.
