From November 18th to 19th, Prof. Li Erping, Vice-Dean of the FIT, led a delegation to Shenzhen to visit Southern University of Science and Technology, the Chinese University of Hong Kong (Shenzhen), and Shenzhen University. He was warmly received by the school leaders and had in-depth exchanges with the relevant heads of the school or department.
On the morning of the 18th, the delegation had a discussion with the Engineering College of Southern University of Science and Technology on the source of undergraduate students, Chinese and English courses, internationalization and enterprise cooperation. After the discussion, the delegation visited Shenzhen Key Laboratory of Electromagnetic Information.
On the afternoon of the 18th, Xu Yangsheng, the Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and President of the Chinese University of Hong Kong (Shenzhen), warmly welcomed the team from ZJU. The two sides focused on in-depth discussions and exchanges in international studies, popular professional settings, Sino-foreign cooperation, and the needs of the Greater Bay Area. Before the exchange meeting, the delegation visited the University Library and the Seventh College.
On the morning of the 19th, the Academician of the Chinese Academy of Science and President of Shenzhen University, Mao Junfa, hosted a delegation from the FIT of ZJU. The deans of four colleges, including the College of Electronic and Information Engineering and the College of Optical Science and Engineering, engaged in active discussion with the delegation on topics such as enhancing the appeal of talent recruitment, leveraging research to some local industries, and utilizing advantaged disciplines to support other fields.
