On the noon of May 22, 2025, the 4th Yuquan Forum of ZJU was successfully held at Shaw-technology Hall in Yuquan Campus.The forum, with the theme of Smart Future: A Multidisciplinary Integration Journey in the Era of Large Models, gathered guests and teacher representatives from the FIT, the Faculty of Engineering, the Institute of Advanced Research, 8 colleges from the Yuquan Campus, the College of Integrated Circuits, the College of Physics, and the Yuquan Campus Management Committee, with over 50 participants. The forum is hosted by Wei Ying, a research fellow of the Hundred Talents Program at the rotating unit of the College of CST.

At the beginning of the forum, Prof.Li Liping, Chairman of the Discipline Program Committee of Yuquan Campus and Deputy Director of the FIT, pointed out that the large model is not only a research object of a single discipline, but also a key force in promoting the coordinated development of various disciplines. The theme presentation session was exciting, with three interdisciplinary experts and scholars sharing their cutting-edge research results and thoughts: Prof. Yang Yi, the rotating chairman of the forum and an expert in artificial intelligence from CCST, shared intelligent computing technology for complex science and engineering systems; Researcher Wang Cong from CSE focused on the security issues of deep neural networks in target detection; and Researcher Yang Zhaohui from ISEE shared the challenges of AI enabled communication technology. The unique AI+X arena segment was the highlight of this forum, where teachers from both the AI and X fields enthusiastically asked each other questions and engaged in lively conversations, sparking new ideas and providing attendees with fresh perspectives. At this forum, a handover ceremony for the next round of rotating hosting was also held.

This forum provided attendees with a deeper understanding of the application prospects and challenges of big model technology in interdisciplinary fields, offering new perspectives for future interdisciplinary integration and innovative development.
