The 27th FIT forum of ZJU was successfully held at yuquan campus, on the afternoon of Oct. 28th, 2025, which themed by ‘Who is in charge of my research & the award ceremony for the Youth Innovation Award’.
The first part of the forum is sharing scientific research experiences and frontier reports.
Academician Wu Hanming, the director of the FIT, delivered a speech and put forward strategic thinking, which resonated strongly with the attendees. Academician Wu is a leader in the application research of China's integrated circuit (IC) chip industry, having a rich and diverse interdisciplinary background, he has also experienced the agonizing time of darkness. When reviewing and sharing the entire scientific research process, he summarized that the original driving force of scientific research is curiosity, the outstanding channel of scientific research is cross-cutting, and the ultimate goal of scientific research is application. Finally, Academician Wu sent a message to young scholars, emphasizing the importance of character over academics. We should have team spirit, endure loneliness, lay a solid foundation, and achieve true breakthroughs in an eternal curiosity.
Subsequently, Prof.Wu Qiang from CCST, Prof.Yang Qing from COSE, Tenure Prof. Yang Zongyin from ISEE, and Researcher Zhao Chengcheng from CSE were invited to share their numerous failed experiences and ultimate success key cases in scientific research, cross innovation, scientific research planning, growth paths, and project applications.
The second part of the forum is the award ceremony for two-yearly 'Getui Youth Innovation Award'。
Academician Wu and CTO of Getui Ye Xinjiang jointly presented awards and congratulated the awardees of 2023/2024. The awardee of 2023 ,Zhang Wei from BME, awardee of 2024, Cai Shengze from CSE Deliver short speeches on behalf of the awardees one by one. Finally, CTO Ye, an alumnus of CCST, gave a special presentation on Making Data Useful, Using Data Efficiently - Challenges in the New Era of Data Intelligence and looks forward to further deepening cooperation with FIT young scholars.
