The National Key Laboratory of Brain-Machine Intelligence of Zhejiang University is one of the first batch of 20 national benchmark key laboratories (May 2022). Facing the world's scientific frontiers and major national demands, the laboratory focuses on scientific and technical challenges related to the interaction, integration, simulation, and enhancement of brain and machine. It concentrates on the research of fundamental theories and technologies such as brain-machine neural basis, brain-machine information reading and writing, brain-machine intelligence modeling, and brain-machine integration and enhancement, conducting organized scientific research. Leveraging the multidisciplinary strengths of Zhejiang University, the laboratory has formed a high-level research team of over 100 members, including two academicians of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and over 40 national talents such as distinguished young scholars and excellent young scholars, covering more than ten advantageous disciplines including computer science, artificial intelligence, neuroscience, psychology, mathematics, clinical medicine, biomedical engineering, microelectronics, management, and philosophy. The laboratory strives to build itself into a world-class brain-computer intelligence research hub through years of efforts.
